About my photography
To me, the beauty of photography lies in capturing moments or people. These are two completely different issues, which -in my opinion- can’t be combined in one photo. Of course, in the capturing of a moment, there could be people in the photo. But the photo isn’t about those people, they are part of the moment. A tiny bit of time of which an image is preserved from the perspective of the photographer. Or somewhat less philosophic: as a photographer I try to capture an original view of what’s just happened. When capturing people it’s not about the moment, but about the person in the photo. It’s fascinating how diverse a person can be portrayed - almost as if you can attach different characters to a person.

I’ve set up this website to showcase my photos. For me, sharing photos is part of the fun photography has to offer. And since photos aren’t subject to language, I decided to do my website in English. After all, The Netherlands are only a small part of the world. This showcase has also a commercial side to it.
